  2. Polar.sh (Payment Data): We use Polar.sh as our Merchant of Record and reseller for all payments. Polar.sh is the Data Controller for your payment and billing information. 2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Data: When you register for an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password.
  • Service Data (Game Data): We store the files and data you upload to your game servers (such as your Minecraft world files, modpacks, and plugin configurations). This data is stored on our secure infrastructure to provide the Service to you.
  • Usage Data: We may automatically collect information your browser sends when you visit our website, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We use this to monitor and improve our Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service (i.e., host your game servers).
  • Process your credit balance for server runtime.
  • Send you essential transactional emails, such as account welcome, low-balance warnings, and password resets.
  • Monitor and analyze usage to improve the Service.

4. How We Share Information (Our Sub-Processors)

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with the essential third-party services (known as "sub-processors") required to provide our Service:

  • Polar.sh: To process your payments and manage sales tax, as described in our Terms of Service.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): We use AWS as our infrastructure provider. Our primary infrastructure, including your Game Data (server files) and our main databases, is hosted in the EU (Ireland) region. However, to provide specific services (like our transactional email system via AWS SES), we may need to process limited personal data (such as your email address) in AWS data centers located in the United States. We ensure this data transfer is protected by legal safeguards, specifically Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), in compliance with GDPR.

5. Data Storage, Security, and Retention

  • Data Location: As stated above, your primary data is stored in the EU (Ireland) region, with limited data processing in the United States for specific services.
  • Security: We use industry-standard security measures (like encryption and secure protocols) to protect your data.
  • Retention: We will retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data (email, account info) and all associated Game Data (server files) from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, in accordance with our data retention policies.

6. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR)

As we are based in Ireland, you are protected by the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to:

  • Access: Request copies of your personal data.
  • Rectification: Request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
